Another check on my summer bucket list! I've never hosted a dinner party per se; however I've hosted many other parties. Craft parties, jewelry parties, Halloween parties, etc. Hosting a dinner party is something I've wanted to do for a long time, but space has always been an issue. Isn't that always the problem here??
I managed to have a few of my closest lady friends over for a seriously fab night. We started off with mozzarella, tomato and basic bites drizzled with balsamic vinegar and a goat cheese and pepper jelly dip with crackers. Both were a total hit!
For dinner, I served a spinach and romaine salad with chicken, cheddar, dried cranberries, diced apples, and peppers. No dressing needed (how I prefer it!). To add a side, I roasted Parmesan asparagus and zucchini. It was the perfect amount of food and well-balanced if you ask me!
Hopefully next time I host a dinner party, I will be able to have it on the terrace in my back yard or at my beautiful hand-carved dining room table on my fine china, rather than paper plates :) !
We finished off with amazing macarons that a sweet guest brought. How adorable!!
I'm sure that as I enter my later twenties, my dinner parties will only become more fancy and fabulous. But of course the most important part of hosting a party if the best friends that you invite, and not so much the china you serve dinner on.
