F.A.Q.s

Where are you from?
I grew up in southern New Hampshire and moved to New York City at the tender age of 18. I've been here ever since, and I don't see myself living anywhere else. Except maybe another country!

How did you get the idea for your blog?
I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology and have a background in fashion. My friends convinced me to start LTT and I decided to make it a lifestyle blog because there's so much more to me than just fashion. I wanted to be able to write about recipes, crafts and other things too rather than just fashion.

When did you start your blog?
I created Let's Talk Twenties in June of 2013 at a coffee shop on the Upper East Side called Effy's. It's been a great year and I'm so excited to see what year two holds LTT.

What kind of camera do you use and who takes your pictures?
Most of the time, I use my iPhone 5 to take my pictures. I don't bring my good camera everywhere with me, though I should. For planned shoots, I use an Olympus camera. Who takes my pictures. Good questions! Anyone that tells me they like my outfit! Just kidding. Any friends that are around when I'm feeling good about what I'm wearing. Liz usually takes them during the week because we work together. Otherwise my trusty photographer since day 1 is Francesca. 

What are your favorite places to shop?
If you haven't noticed in my posts, vintage and thrift stores are my number one. The clothes and accessories there are always so unique. Of course I love Zara and Nordstrom, etc on occasion. The finds that I've gotten from my favorite stores are totally my favorites though. Buffalo Exchange, Housing Works, Chic Consignment (Andover, MA), and Rabbits (Brooklyn) are a few of my go-to's.

What do you do in your spare time?
I love to cook and go thrifting. I'm a total homebody; I love to stay in my apartment and hang out. It usually turns into reorganizing my closet or cabinets. Don't ever ask me about a movie or tv though- I don't have the patience to watch anything until the end or keep up with tv shows.

Where do you picture yourself in ten years?
In ten years I will be 35. Hopefully I'll have a a sweet man in my life, but more importantly an amazing career in the fashion industry and I'll obviously be writing Let's Talk Thirties!!

What's next for Let's Talk Twenties?
I take it day by day. We have enoromous growth each week. I've recently started writing a column for Applaud Women magazine called Twenty-Something, Single and New York City.  I am so excited to see what the blog gods have in store for me, but I'd love to do more collaborations with companies and other bloggers.
